These terms apply when you use BuildMeAfrica to build, publish and run websites and apps. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to build. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account and your workspaces.
You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
What you build
You own the sites and apps you build, and the words, images and code in them. You can download your code at any time from the Code view.
BuildMeAfrica uses AI to write your site. AI can make mistakes, so check your site before you publish it and before you rely on it for business.
What you may not build
Don't use BuildMeAfrica for anything illegal, for scams or phishing, to sell prohibited goods, to impersonate another person or business, to collect people's passwords or card details, or to spread malware or hate.
We may take down a published site or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we tell you first.
Plans and payments
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Pro and Team) are charged in Ghana cedis through Paystack, for one month or one year at a time, at the price shown on the Pricing page when you pay.
Paid plans do not renew automatically. When your plan period ends, your workspace moves back to the Free plan; your projects and published sites stay.
Each plan comes with credits, shown on the Pricing page. Every reply from the AI uses credits based on how much work it was. Free credits refill daily and monthly; paid credits refill each month from the day you paid. Unused credits don't carry over.
Pro and Team workspaces can also buy credit top-ups. Top-up credits never expire and are used only after the plan's monthly credits run out.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Orders and payments on your site
If your site takes orders or payments, the money goes to your own Paystack account. You are the seller: you are responsible for your products, delivery, refunds to your customers and any taxes. BuildMeAfrica does not hold your customers' money.
Availability
We work to keep BuildMeAfrica and your published sites running, but we can't promise they will never be interrupted. We may change or improve features over time.
Liability
BuildMeAfrica is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your account
You can stop using BuildMeAfrica at any time. Email us to have your account and projects deleted.
Changes and law
If we change these terms, we update this page and the date below. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
